Clay Schacht
Mr. Schacht joined King & Markman after 15 years of representing clients throughout Florida. Additionally, his experience has included representing the interests of some of the largest insurance companies in America. He has drafted several appellate briefs and successfully argued before the Fifth District Court of Appeal. He has also appeared as lead counsel before The Florida Supreme Court and co-wrote the brief for a multi-billion dollar client. Mr. Schacht focuses primarily on obtaining justice for clients injured in automobile accidents, wrongful death survivors, and insurance litigation.
Born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota, Mr. Schacht worked in nursing before going to law school. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida in 1990 and in 1994 he obtained his law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota where he was a member of the Law Review. He returned to Central Florida following law school and represented clients in criminal matters. He has served the citizens and children of Orange County as a Guardian Ad Litem.
Mr. Schacht knows that every injury is personal to the individual who was injured and his goal is to provide the personal service every client deserves while using his experience to maximize recoveries for each of our clients.
